Foxconn Reveals Fanless, Noiseless NanoPC Nettop Range
Foxconn has been making the news more often than not regarding labor practices, but the company also makes a range of PCs with its own brand on it. Here's the Foxconn NanoPC, a nettop that'll ship in two different versions. The AT-5250 and AT-5600 are based on the Intel Atom and AMD Brazos platforms, respectively, and neither consumes over 24 watts under load. Furthermore, they're "silent" due to the passive cooling setup. These are obviously aimed at carputer, industrial and even HTPC use, where power load is crucial and the noise factor is a big deal, too.
They'll support 1.8" and 2.5" storage drives, and each one is equipped with two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI, VGA, a 5-in-1 card reader, Wi-Fi, and support for VESA mounting. The AT-5600 is powered by a 1.65GHz Brazos E450 processor alongside the AMD Radeon HD 6320, while the AT-5250 opts for the 1.86GHz Intel Cedar View D2550 with an integrated GMA 3650 GPU.
As for pricing? Look for these to ship in September for between $260 and $280.
