EVGA Disaster Relief

Good evening folks.  We were just informed that EVGA is auctioning off one of their excellent e-GeForce 7800 GTX cards, and that all of the proceeds - and then some - will be going to the Red Cross Hurricane Katrina disaster relief fund.  Here's what EVGA had to say in their e-mail:

"...There are many in need and EVGA is doing its part to help. Please spread this message to those you know.

In our efforts to support those affected by Hurricane Katrina, EVGA is donating 100% of the proceeds from this auction to the American Red Cross. In addition, EVGA will double the final auction amount and add to the total donation."

This is a very nice gesture on EVGA's part, and we hope some of you will be compelled to bid and support EVGA's effort. Not only is it for an excellent cause, but you may end up with a great video card.

If you REALLY want to spread the wealth, the winner of the auction could re-list the item again, and donate the proceeds as well.  When all is said and done, a single e-GeForce 7800 GTX card could mean food and shelter to thousands of those affected by Hurricane Katrina.  Just a thought...
