Droid X to Get Froyo in Early September?

It looks like we have a target date, or at least a target month, for the release of Froyo for the recently released Motorola Droid X. The latest info points to early September for delivery of Android 2.2 to the Droid X.

The message was posted in a Motorola support forum post. The thread is about issues with Exchange email on the Droid X, and the interesting (to those who want to see Froyo on the Droid X ASAP) is:
A fix for this will be included in the upgrade to Android 2.2 scheduled for deployment by early September.
Given the phrase "by early September," it's possible the upgrade could occur before then. Hey, it's a little less vague than "later this summer," at least.
