Nintendo and Google Tag Team Wii 'Search Engine' Game
Google and Nintendo seem to think so, and the two have teamed up to develop a game called "Ando Kensaku," which will go on sale in Japan on April 29. The object? Try to guess popular web search terms. If you guess more than your opponent, you win.
Gamers can play offline by tapping into about 10,000 pre-stored words and phrases, but with an active Internet connection, you'll be able to download challenges based on current Google search trends.
If it sounds a bit wacky, that's because it is, but how could you not be intrigued after listening to the game's theme song?

This may only be a culture thing because I can't see this doing well in North America or even in Europe. It is most likely a wii-ware title because there is no way anyone is paying this in full retail price of 69.99. |

There is always something about Japanese games. They always seem to give them that WTF Factor, which in turn makes them either really fun. Or just down right Funny. Just watch the episodes of Takeshi's Castle :) Can you imagine how much head scratching the San Fernando Valley is doing right now. They are Working Hard to Come up with a way to implement this new market over the net. So instead of being one handed typist, there will be a bunch of Left handed Wii'ers :) |
