Audience Looks To Redefine Mobile User Experience With Multisensory Processors

There’s a lot that goes on inside that petite mobile device of yours, and Audience is looking to overhaul the process to deliver a much better end user experience with its multisensory processors.

The Audience eS700 series of mobile processors use multiple smart technologies to offer always-on voice sensing, motion detection, a smart audio codec, and Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) assist.

Audience eS700

VoiceQ voice sensing technology is, in a nutshell, designed to severely cut down on the number of times you reach for your phone every day. Instead of picking it up, pressing a button, entering a passcode, and then performing some function such as pulling up some music, VoiceQ lets you simply speak what you want to do. Thus, playing music is as simple as saying, “Ok Audience, play some jazz.”

Note that the device unlocks with a voice command instead of a passcode, and you don’t have to activate the voice feature because the chip is always “listening” for you. The ASR Assist technology is designed to cut out background noise--even wind--so that your voice is received cleanly.

In addition to being always ready for your voice commands, the eS700 series chips have MotionQ motion-detection technology that’s designed to do everything your smartphone’s various sensors already do--but faster and more efficiently, by removing the bulk of the processing load from the AP.

Beyond that, MotionQ is always-on so that it can respond to your movements with no lag, and the chip also features contextual awareness--such as whether you’re running, walking, or standing still--as well as gesture recognition.

There are six eS700 processors equipped with various combinations of the above technologies, which you’ll find inside of devices from many companies including Dell, LG, Sony, Motorola, Lenovo, Acer, and more.
