We just got our hands on some hot news regarding Asus and a brand new smartphone they’ve just introduced. What you see pictured here is the new Asus M930 Windows Mobile 6-based smartphone. As the pictures show, the M930 has a clamshell design, and features dual screens, a QWERTY keyboard, and a built in camera / webcam.
According to our information, the Asus M930 sports a 450MHz TI OMAP 2431 processor with 256MB of Flash memory and 64MB of SDRAM. The unit also supports Micro-SD expansion cards and SDHC, however, for further expandability. Standby time is reportedly 150 - 200 hours with 2 - 3 hours of talk time using 3G or 4 - 5 hours using 2G. The external 2.0” screen has a QVGA resolution of 240x320 pixels, while the internal 2.6” widescreen support a WQVGA resolution of 400x240 pixels. The built in camera can take 2MP snapshots, and act as a 0.3MP webcam for video conferencing.
If you’re wondering what kind of connectivity options the M930 supports, it has WLAN 802.11b+g, USB 2.0, and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR built-in and can work on HSDPA 3.6Mbps, UMTS 2100, and EDGE/GPRS/GSM 900/1800/1900; Class 10 networks. The M930 also has full 3.5G connectivity where available, which should make it relatively speedy for data transfers.
