Wasn't the 40GB model $229 anyway? They actually haven't added a lower cost option. You mentioned Hulu and the stuff on the web, but also the PS3 and 360 can stream media and are getting cheaper especially with their recent price cut. The 360 also has Netflix which is a value that should not be underestimated (it's pretty cool). Why not pay the extra $70 for Blu-Ray capable, game ready PS3? Apple themselves just recently put the iPod touch at the magic $199 price point. I'm really shocked they didn't put the Apple TV there too. But hey, if they want to have a product no one buys more power to them. And does Apple TV finally actually ship with video cables yet? Last a checked it does not, which is pretty cheapo. I also think Apple should lower their Mac Mini prices ($599 cheapest) so that they can counter the "Cacs is always more expensive" argument. It's time to flood the market a bit! |
