AT&T: 4G LTE Service Coming To New York City "Soon"
Read for AT&T LTE? Yeah, so are we. While some around here are lucky enough to be near one of the dozen or so AT&T LTE markets, the Big Apple has thus far been left out. Verizon Wireless is currently the American king of LTE (in terms of markets, anyway), but it's obvious that New York City is on the mind of the carrier. Speaking at the Mashable Media Summit Friday, Senior VP of corporate communications Larry Solomon said the following:
"We're investing about $20 billion this year in our network, adding cell sites in New York City alone, rolling out 4G LTE. We'll have about 70 million consumers covered across the US by the end of this year, and it's going to be coming to New York City soon."Have a listen at the full video below, and feel free to grab yourself an AT&T LTE phone in preparation.

Yeah we already have it in Atlanta. I still always wonder why we in this city seem to be on the first wave of everything for cellular communications. Don't get me wrong I have no problem with it I just don't know why we do, and it is almost always at least seemingly just taken as a give me because they also almost never announce it really it just is. It happened for At&t (2,3,3.5,LTE) Verizon (2,3, LTE), and Sprint (2,3,Wimax) we were among the group of the very first cities to have it. |

Att's biggest weakness has been new city as whole. I'm sure the people of ny would like better coverage before increased speed |
