Good morning HH fans! How's everyone doing today? I hope all is well. Things here in the New York lab (soon to be Connecticut) are humming along nicely. We've got some tasty hardware on the test bench at the moment, but we can't tell you about that for a few more weeks. Rest assured, we'll fill you in the second the NDAs lift. For now though, it's time for a shot of news. Here ya go...
ATI is the Principal Graphics Provider for Microsoft's Professional Developer's Conference
ATI Showcases Advanced Windows Vista Leadership in Over 300 Demo PCs
MARKHAM, ON – September 13, 2005 – ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX: ATY,
NASDAQ:ATYT) today announced it is the principal graphics provider for Microsoft's sold-out Professional Developer's Conference (PDC) in Los Angeles. As a Gold Level Conference Sponsor, ATI provided over 300 ATI Radeon(R) X850 XT graphics cards to be featured in PCs showcasing Microsoft's highly anticipated Windows(R) Vista™ Operating System (OS) at the event.
"Windows Vista is poised to have an enormous impact in the PC market and we are working closely alongside Microsoft to implement optimized driver and hardware support for our top-to-bottom line of discrete and integrated graphics processors," said Ben Bar-Haim, Vice President of Software Engineering, ATI Technologies Inc. "The look and feel of Microsoft Windows Vista represents the next generation of graphics quality and performance in a desktop operating system." Read More...
"The P180 is the another model in the Performance One line, and is certainly full of features any enthusiast would be searching for. Rather than a complete rebuild from the ground up, I view the P180 as more of a collection of awesome features found throughout the world of PC enclosures, all brought together into one package. Don't get me wrong, this enclosure is no slouch, but that's something you'll have to see for yourself."
"There is no doubting that system builders are fiercely dedicated to their chosen power supply company. Whether their own experience has caused them to favor one company over the others or they have been influenced by other sources, these opinions can be very hard to sway. Even the people who are not as dedicated to just one brand often have chosen three or four companies and hold their power supplies above the rest. Though this situation has not completely barred new companies from entering the PSU market it has caused hesitancy on the part of the companies and a good deal of consumer reluctance. This review will be taking a look at the Hiper Type-R Series 580W Modular Power Supply. Though Hiper has yet to make much progress in the US market they have been making a name for themselves with their Type-R series power supply."
"Comfort is something we seem to neglect to think about all too often when it comes to our time at in front of our computers. I'd be more than willing to estimate that the majority of people either have an uncomfortable chair that's set at the wrong height, a monitor that's too high in regards to your eye level, or a mouse and keyboard that just aren't comfortable for long term use."
That's going to do it for this installment. Check back later though; I'm sure we'll have some more stuff posted soon. Be good brothers and sisters...
