AOC Delivers (Nearly) Borderless 23-inch Monitor

Bezel? We don’t need no stinking bezel. AOC has a new monitor, the 23-inch i2367fh, and the unit’s facade is almost 100% screen; technically there is a bezel, but it’s just 2mm thick. In general, the monitor is a bit of a looker, with a brushed metal finish on the lower front part and rear of the unit and a slim brushed metal stand to complement the edge-to-edge look of the screen, and the display itself is a svelte 12mm thick.

The IPS display features 1920x1080 full HD resolution, a 50,000,000:1 contrast ratio (which is substantially better than AOC's recently-released e2752Vh), and 5ms response time, as well as a WLED backlight designed to facilitate very low power consumption. The multipurpose stand is detachable, and there’s a pair of 2W speakers on board, as well. Inputs include VGA and HDMI, with HDCP digital inputs.

AOC monitor

AOC bills the i2367fh as ideal for both workstations and gaming setups. Either way, you can snag one of these 23-inch beauties at Amazon or B&H Photo for $199.

Would be awesome for multiple monitors!

Wow this thing is absolutely gorgeous, and the fact it's near bezeless, an IPS monitor with 1920x1080 with a 5MS response time makes it applicable for casual use for users and gamers who demand quality and for professionalism use with accurate color reproduction etc.

Other thin bezel monitors I've seen (Samsung) have been in the $500+ range, albeit they had a broader feature set their prices still didn't warrant the product

I was considering buying a 27inch TN panel for $199.99 on black friday to bump up my size for use in my dorm room since space is limited and a TV isn't an option to pair with my 13inch "issued" laptop but just because of how sexy this thing is, and the fact using it in multimonitors would be a widescreen gamers dream I might go with this instead

Also... where did they have room to fit the speakers?! haha

I really like this monitor, just judging from the looks.

I've read a few reviews and heard that the picture quality isn't all THAT much to drool over, however the fact that there is no bezel really does add the the experience.

I really look forward to seeing this kind of stuff in larger monitors at higher resolutions! It would be amazing to have this kind of stuff for multi-monitor gaming in surround!

It would certainly blow away all of those people that hate on multi-monitor gaming because of the large black gaps caused by the monitor bezels...

give me a straight on or even another 3/4 view on say a blue background to show off the lack of a bezel.

Finally someone is listening! This is the feature I have been looking for. Let's face it, once the depth got to the point that it was less than the stand depth, it didn't matter as much. No more desktop space to be reclaimed, it just became about looks.

Reducing the the bezel though makes multi-monitor setups much nicer, and even for single monitors a reduced bezel can give the impression of looking at a floating picture.

Hopefully more monitor and TV makers get on board with this.

And at $200, not a bad price.
