3G-Enabled BlackBerry Curve 8530 Coming To Sprint

We're not exactly sure when it happened, but we're pretty confident that it happened. What's "it?" The fall of the BlackBerry. Remember just a year ago, it seemed like RIM had all the buzz it could handle. People were upgrading from normal phones to BlackBerry handsets en masse, and the touch screen Storm seemed poised to rival even Apple's iPhone. Of course, the Storm didn't exactly do as well as the company would have liked, and it seems that they've been losing steam ever since. In fact, when's the last time RIM upgrading the BlackBerry OS? We've seen Android hit 2.0, iPhone OS hit 3.0 and Windows Mobile hit 6.5. All while BB OS lags behind.

That said, the loyal BB users are mighty loyal, and if you're looking for a new low-end device on Sprint, the BlackBerry Curve 8530 might be the one you're looking for. It's a 3G-enabled phone, and it'll be offered on Sprint's Everything Data plans featuring Any Mobile, Anytime. It'll also support the BlackBerry App World, and will come preloaded with several multimedia applications including BlackBerry Media Sync, Sprint Music Store, Sprint TV and Pandora. Of course, you'll also get access to Facebook, MySpace and Flickr.

Sprint will release pricing and an exact ship date soon, so you'll have plenty of time to decide between black, purple and red hues.
