Sam’s Club Pre-Black Friday Doorbuster Sale To Offer PlayStation 4 Bundle For $299 Next Week

We were mighty impressed when we learned last month that Dell will have a killer Black Friday sale which includes an Xbox One Gears of War bundle, Fallout 4 and an extra controller for $299. Not to be outdone, Sam’s Club is countering with its own enticing deal involving the PlayStation 4, which recently just saw its everyday price cut from $399 to $349.

Sam’s Club will offer the PlayStation 4 for a low price of $299 next week in a pre-Black Friday sale. This marks a $50 price break from the “new” price of $349. The wording of the ad leads us to believe that the free game is just whatever game comes bundled in the box with the console, and is not an additional game that the customer can add at the time of purchase. We’d like to be proven wrong on this point, but it’s possible that Sam’s Club has even more enticing console deals lined up for Black Friday, and this is just the appetizer.

Sam's Club PlayStation 4 Pre-Black Friday Sale

The pricing will only be available for one day only, starting at 7am on Saturday, November 14th at Sam’s Club locations around the United States. If you prefer to shop in your underwear, the deal will also be available online.

The PlayStation 4 is by far the best-selling console so far this generation, and Microsoft is no longer going to try to compete when it comes to unit sales (the company announced in its most recent earnings release that it will no longer provide an update on the number of consoles that it has sold). Instead, Microsoft is hoping to court gamers with platform exclusives and unique features like Windows 10 streaming and Xbox 360 backwards compatibility.

That still doesn’t mean that the Microsoft folks don’t envy Sony’s position at this point in life cycle of the current generation of consoles. “They [Sony] have a huge lead and they have a good product,” said Xbox Chief Phil Spencer in October. But he quickly countered, stating, “I love the content, the games line-up that we have.”
