Microsoft Comes Full Circle On Streaming, Will Beam Windows 10 Games To Xbox One

When Microsoft introduced the ability to stream Xbox One games to the PC earlier this year, through its just-released Windows 10 OS, a common thought that came to many was, "Why couldn't we stream our PC games to our Xbox?" Well, believe it or not, that's going to be happening.

In an interview with The Verge, Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed that the feature is coming, and now, last week's announcement that the Xbox One can now use a keyboard and mouse makes a whole lot more sense.

The ability to stream PC games to a TV isn't that interesting anymore, as there are many, many solutions out there for it, but the fact that we're talking about a game console makes this important. Xbox One fans will be able to play their exclusive titles natively, and then stream in PC games in potentially higher graphical fidelity.

Something fun to think about is this. The PC has many titles that the Xbox One also has, but typically, they cost about $10 less at retail. With this, assuming someone has a capable gaming PC, they could score the same game for cheaper, and probably stream it in even higher resolution, to boot. Of course, that wouldn't be suitable for all games, as multi-player components would need to be system-specific, but it's still cool to know that it'd be possible at all.
