HTC Offers Whopping $100 In Google Play Store Credit With Purchase Of One M9 Smartphone

Looking for a high end handset? Chances are you've eyeballed Galaxy devices from Samsung and iPhone models from Apple. Lest anyone forget, HTC is also a player in the performance smartphone segment, and to tempt users towards its One M9 handset, the company is offering a generous $100 in Google Play credit with purchase.

Yes, we meant to put two zeros in that figure -- one hundred dollars, in other words. That's not an insignificant amount of credit, which you can use to purchase movies, music, games, and more. The only catch is that you have to purchase the device direct from HTC, which is going to be a deal killer for many people.

HTC One Promotion

By going through HTC, you aren't able to take advantage of any subsidized offers or leasing agreements. Instead, you have to pony up the full $649 retail cost right off the bat - ouch! However, HTC offers both Developer edition and Unlocked models at the same price (in addition to models specific to AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and T-Mobile).

The offer is valid for purchases made by November 30, 2015. When purchasing the handset, you'll receive a redemption code with your order confirmation email that you can punch into Google Play. Once added to your account, you have until December 31, 2016 to use your $100 credit.

HTC's One M9 also comes with free "Uh Oh Protection," which is an HTC plan that provides one free replacement phone in the event it suffers water damage or a busted screen, plus $100 towards the purchase of your next HTC One handset.
