Google Nexus 5X Price Permanently Reduced to $349
Google seems to have gotten the memo that a price cut for its Nexus 5X handset would be much appreciated, and so the powers that be in Mountain View made it happen. The Nexus 5X is now permanently lightened by $30, bringing the cost down for $349 for the 16GB model and $399 for the 32GB version, both unlocked and off-contract.
For what it is, the LG-build smartphone wasn't overpriced to begin with. However, it went on sale for $299 on Black Friday, and after that, several retailers had it listed for $330. Google's price cut isn't quite as steep, but it's enough that a potential buyer may now pull the trigger rather than wait around for another sale from a third-party seller.

It has a 5.2-inch Full HD 1080p (1920x1080) display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. All of the essentials are there, things like a 5MP front-facing camera, 12.3MP rear-facing shooter with IR laser-assisted autofocus, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS, 3.5mm stereo jack, and a 2,700 mAh battery, albeit non-removable. It ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
You can certainly go out and find a bigger, faster phone with a few more perks, but they typically cost twice as much. Many people will find that the Nexus 5X represents the point where spending a higher sum introduces diminishing returns.
