Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Up For Pre-Order Tomorrow, Deliveries October 17th

To borrow (and slightly butcher) Samsung's favorite catchphrase, the next big thing is almost here. That big thing, of course, is the Galaxy Note 4, the Android-based arch-nemesis of Apple's iPhone 6 Plus. If you've been holding out for the Galaxy Note 4, the wait is nearly over -- you can place your pre-order tomorrow with availability in the U.S. scheduled for October 17.

The Galaxy Note 4 wields a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560x1440) Super AMOLED display powered by a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor. This heavily armed device also features 3GB of RM, 32GB of internal storage expandable via a microSD card slot (up to 128GB), 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera with f1.9, 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with auto focus and smart optical image stabilization, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, built-in heart rate monitor, various other sensors, and Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

"Samsung created the large screen smartphone category with the Galaxy Note and are on our fourth generation, a category others are just entering," said Gregory Lee, president and CEO of Samsung Telecommunications America and Samsung Electronics North America Headquarters. "The Galaxy Note 4 delivers a refined Note experience, and the latest technology that consumers want in their smartphone."

Those who log a lot of hours on their mobile device will appreciate the Galaxy Note 4's Adaptive Fast Charging capability. According to Samsung, the Galaxy Note 4 can go from no battery to 50 percent charged in about 30 minutes. It also features an Ultra Power Saving mode that offers standby time up to 24 hours on only 10 percent of battery life, while still allowing access to select applications.

Pre-orders will be accepted between September 19 and October 16. In addition, Samsung says you'll receive a guaranteed total trade-in of $200 on any working smartphone. As for pricing, your payment options will vary by carrier. For example, AT&T will sell the Galaxy Note 4 outright for $825.99. Alternately, you can pick it up for $299.99 with a two-year service agreement, or take advantage of AT&T Next and pay $41.30 per month for 12 months, or $34.42 per month for 18 months.
