NVIDIA Stuns With Titanfall 2 Game Play Video At 4K 60FPS On Titan X

The wait for Titanfall 2 is almost over. It will arrive to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One at the end of next month. In the meantime, if you're looking for a reason to splurge on a graphics card upgrade for your computer, NVIDIA posted a few minutes of awesome game play footage showing the title running at a 4K Ultra HD resolution at 60 frames per second on a Titan X.

Not that you have to go out and buy a Titan X to play Titanfall 2 at a 4K resolution at 60 FPS. Developer Respawn Entertainment recommends a GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card, along with an Intel Core i7-6700K processor (or equivalent), 16GB of RAM, 45GB of storage space, and a 512Kbps Internet connection or better to achieve the same results.

"If the name didn't tip you off, the Ultra 4K60 requirements are what you'll need if you want to achieve 60 FPS while playing the game at a whopping 3840x2160 (aka '4K') resolution and average around 60 FPS," Respawn Entertainment says. "If you have a PC that falls under this category and are wondering what Titanfall 2 multiplayer looks like being played at 4K stay tuned for some footage captured in conjunction with our friends at NVIDIA."

Well, that footage has arrived and here it is.

Obviously you'll need a 4K resolution monitor to fully appreciate the trailer in all its glory, but even at Full HD 1080p, the Titanfall 2 trailer provides plenty of sweet eye candy.

This is precisely what we've been waiting for from the graphics industry. Sure, at $599 (and up), the GeForce GTX 1080 isn't exactly a budget card. But unlike previous generation architectures, Pascal has thrust us into an era of PC gaming where it's possible to play at a 4K resolution with a single graphics card, and one that doesn't cost $1,000 or more. With that being the case, imagine what the next generation will bring!

If you're not yet ready to play at 4K, don't fret, Titanfall 2 is still accessible. Respawn recommends a minimum setup consisting of an Intel Core i3-3600T or equivalent processor, GeForce GTX 660 (2GB) or AMD Radeon HD 7850 (2GB) graphics card, 8GB of RAM, and 45GB of storage space. That will allow you to game comfortably at a 1600x900 resolution with most details turned on while averaging around 60 FPS.

To play at 1080p, Respawn recommends an Intel Core i5-6600 or equivalent, GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) or Radeon RX 480 (8GB) GPU, 16GB of RAM, and 45GB of storage.

Titanfall 2 will be out on October 28.
