ASUS Allows You To Leave Charging Cable At Home With 5000 mAh ZenFone Max
Today's smartphones are bigger and more powerful than ever before, and while we appreciate their increased capabilities, they sometimes come at the expense of battery life. A bigger battery would certainly help, and that's exactly what ASUS has built into its ZenFone Max. Get this -- the ZenFone Max wields a capacious 5,000mAh lithium-ion battery that ASUS says is "incredibly long lasting." We have no reason to doubt that claim, especially since the ZenFone Max isn't rocking the highest end hardware.

It totes a bright and clear 5.5-inch In-Plane Switching (IPS) display with wide viewing angles, protected with Corning's Gorilla Glass 4. Unfortunately, ASUS didn't reveal the resolution or pixel density, though did say that it's powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 System-on-Chip (SoC).
Other features include 2GB of RAM along with 5-megapixel and 13-megapixel front- and rear-facing PixelMaster cameras, respectively, both with a wide f/2.0 aperture. The rear shooter also benefits from a laser auto-focus system that promises sharp, near-instant shots.
The battery is the real selling point here, and not only will it keep the ZenFone Max alive and kicking throughout the day, you can also use it as a power bank to juice up other devices.
Look for the ZenFone Max to be available in October. No word yet on price.
