Rumors of Samsung’s rugged Galaxy S7 Active have been making the rounds for months, but the South Korean electronics giant and AT&T today officially announced the follow-up to the Galaxy S6 Active. As its name implies, the Galaxy S7 Active uses the garden variety Galaxy S7 as a starting point, then throws everything but the kitchen sink at it to not only improve durability, but also battery life.

Compared to the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, the Galaxy S7 Active isn’t nearly as sexy — and with good reason. The Super AMOLED QHD display is not only covered in Gorilla Glass 4, but it also has an extra layer of polycarbonate on top to withstand additional abuse. The sides of the device have the phone’s metal exterior exposed, but the corners are wrapped in a rubbery bumper material that helps the Galaxy S7 Active survive falls. The glass back of the Galaxy S7 has also been replaced with a polycarbonate covering on the Galaxy S7 Active. As for water resistance, the Galaxy S7 Active retains the same IP68 rating as its “lesser” sibling.

When it comes to the Galaxy S7 Active’s innards, things stay the same — for the most part. You’re still going to find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, built-in microSD slot, fingerprint reader (with Samsung Pay support), and the incredible 12MP rear camera. What has changed is the 4,000 mAh battery, which outpaces that of even the larger Galaxy S7 Edge and is quite massive for a device with a 5.1-inch display.

The Galaxy S7 Active will be available via AT&T Next and AT&T Next Every Year for $26.50/month and $33.13/month respectively. That works out to an off-contract price of $795. AT&T will even toss in a free Samsung Gear S2 with NumberSync if you sign up for a two-year wireless contract with the smartwatch and purchase the Galaxy S7 Active using Next. On the other hand, you could purchase two Galaxy S7 Actives and get a $695 bill credit spread out over 30 months.

The Galaxy S7 Active will be available from AT&T starting Friday, June 10th.
