Sony is getting ready to give beta testers for the PlayStation 4 a sneak peak of its upcoming 4.00 system firmware update, otherwise known by its codename Shingen. It will roll out soon to anyone signed up to Sony's public beta program and bring with it a refreshed user interface with new tools for organization, updating the Quick Menu, and a whole lot more. First announced at E3 2016, Doom’s Unto the Evil DLC is now available for download on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. The download, which is actually the first DLC for Doom, brings with its three new multiplayer maps (Offering, Cataclysm and Ritual) to keep you busy. If that wasn’t enough, there’s a new playable demon (Harvester) and a new weapon (UAC EMG Pistol) to wreak havoc with. While PC virtual reality (VR) gaming fans have the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive to play around with (priced at $600 and $800 respectively), console gamers have largely been left out of the loop. Although Rise of the Tomb Raider started off life on the Xbox One in November, it was always intended to make its way to other platforms. It landed on the PC in January and today, we’ve learned that PlayStation 4 owners will be able to purchase the game on October 11th. Adr1ft, the first-person survival game set on a damaged space station, will soon be available on PS4. This is the first game from Three One Zero, a company formed by former Microsoft Xbox team member Adam Orth. The game was inspired by Orth’s own dramatic departure from Microsoft. When Microsoft's Xbox One was announced, it was met with controversy for its digital rights management that would require users to remain online to use the console.  At the time, Orth was Microsoft’s Creative Director, and told users to “deal with it”. Sony is giving gamers the heads up that its discontinuing its Ustream service for the PlayStation 4 effective August 1, 2016. Once that date arrives, PS4 gamers will no longer be able to broadcast their gameplay to Ustream, nor will they be able to view Ustream broadcasts from the "Live from PlayStation" portal on the PS4 console or from the PlayStation App and PlayStation Vita.It's not clear what prompted Sony's decision to pull the plug on Ustream, especially since it was one of the promoted features leading up to the console's launch in November 2013. Sony recently confirmed that it's working on a faster version of its PlayStation 4 console. When Sony first announced its PlayStation VR headset a few months ago, the company said it would ship in the United States sometime in October with a price tag of $399. Once upon a time, the land of Far Harbor was shrouded in a patchy, low framerate fog? Bethesda recommends that users who have experienced performance issues with Fallout 4 Far Harbor re-download the DLC. The issue was particularly prevalent with consoles, especially the PS4. The framerates would actually drop to 15fps in some of the worst areas.
