Rumor Suggests The HTC One X Is Coming To Sprint On June 10

According to reports from S4GRU, HTC's new flagship phone, the One X, could become one of Sprint's first LTE handsets. Referring to the One X as the HTC Jet, unnamed "internal Sprint" sources have stated the wireless carrier will be getting this LTE-equipped phone on June 10. Of course, this date is still a few months away, but it's interesting to note that this date is nearly two years to the date that Sprint launched its first 4G WiMAX handset, the HTC EVO.

Although the sources didn't specifically say the HTC Jet is the same as the HTC One X, the specs match including the dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with NFC capabilities. Other specs for the rumored Sprint device include 1GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch Super LCD 1280×720 display, and Gorilla Glass 2. For wireless capabilities, the Sprint version of the One X is said to include CDMA 1X, EV-DO Rev 0/A/B and LTE Band class 25 as well as 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0

Previously, HTC announced plans to simplify its handset lineup in both number and name. As a result, it's hard to say if the Jet name will stick or if HTC and Sprint will rename the phone to something like the HTC One EVO or simply the One X for Sprint.
