Will Acer Reveal A Tegra 3 Tablet At CES?

About a month ago, Acer revealed a new Iconia Tab A200 tablet running on Ice Cream Sandwich that features a NVIDIA Tegra 2 Dual Core 1 GHz processor. At the time of the announcement, Acer indicated the tablet would ship sometime in January which makes us think we should see the tablet at CES next week.

Now, we're also hearing rumors of a new tablet from Acer that will sport even more power. A Russian site called NoMobile claims Acer has a new tablet in the works called the Iconia Tab A700. This tablet is said to feature a Tegra 3 processor along with a 10.1-inch display that supports a resolution of 1920 x 1200. The A700 is also rumored to have a micro HDMI port, SIM card slot, microUSB port, 5 megapixel camera, and a battery life of 10 hours. The tablet could make its debut at CES next week, though it's not expected to reach stores until March.

Although Acer's tablet business hasn't performed as well as the company hoped, we know Acer is still committed to competing in this space. Will the new tablets bring Acer the success it desires? Time will tell.
