T-Mobile Triples G1 Fact. Order, Still Sells Out
T-Mobile customers can get a T-Mobile G1 starting at $179.99, plus taxes and fees (pricing subject to upgrade eligibility criteria: two-year agreement required). Order yours before October 21, 2008, and it will be delivered as early as November 10, 2008. After all, as a loyal customer, you deserve to get what you want—when you want it.You can still pre-register at the site to be notified where you can buy the device on the the day Oct. 22nd. However, you would probably have to wait in a line --- whether or not it's an iPhone-long line remains to be seen.
Given the great anticipation and the heavy pre-sale demand for the T-Mobile G1 with Google, we nearly tripled the number of phones initially available for delivery on our Oct. 22 launch date, and have sold through them all. However, to accommodate additional T-Mobile customers who want to pre-order a device, they now have the opportunity to place a pre-order through Oct. 21, for delivery at a later date. Also, people can still pre-register on the T-Mobile G1 Web site to be notified prior to launch where they can purchase the device beginning Oct. 22.A good question for readers: would you stand in line for hours for a G1, akin to the first day of iPhone 3G sales? Fortunately, there's no talk of the crazy activation scheme Apple users to "protect its IP" (also known as insane paranoia).
