Samsung Galaxy S4 Active Coming To AT&T On June 21 With Rugged Exterior

Samsung really isn't holding back when it comes to expanding the Galaxy line, but who are we to blame them? With 10 million Galaxy S4 handsets sold within a month, it's obvious that Samsung would be wise to strike while the iron is hot. So, the company is creating even more versions of the S4 for an even more select group of customers. The S4 Active was announced as a global phone a few weeks ago, but now AT&T has announced that it'll be the exclusive carrier for the phone in the United States.

Starting on June 21, active users (get it?!) can pick up a Galaxy S4 Active from any AT&T store or online for $199.99 with a two-year agreement.  For consumers who prefer to place their orders now, AT&T will begin taking pre-orders on June 14 at www.att.com/galaxys4active.  The Galaxy S 4 Active will be available in two colors: Urban Gray and Dive Blue. The phone itself is IP67 certified to be water-resistant and dust-resistant, ships with Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), and offers a screen coated with Gorilla Glass. There's an 8MP rear camera, support for AT&T's LTE network, a built-in IR controller, and Samsung's usual TouchWiz software suite.

If you needed a technological reason to exercise this summer, look no further.
