PC Version Of ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ Delayed Until March 24

Well, who didn’t see this one coming? Delays for highly anticipated video games are nothing new, so you shouldn’t be too surprised to hear that Rockstar Games has delayed the release of Grand Theft Auto V for the PC. The game was originally set to debut on January 27, but that date has now been pushed back until March 24.

“Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be,” said Rockstar in a posting on its website earlier this morning. “Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans. Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March.”

It’s hard for us to get too upset over the delay, especially in light console game developers that have dropped the ball numerous times over the past few months. Look no further than games like Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Assassin’s Creed Unity, and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare to see that game developers have resorted to a “ship first, patch later” mentality when it comes to game releases.

Grand Theft Auto V for PC will bring with it a new first-person mode, which makes playing the game even more immersive. The game will also support 1080p at 60fps and up to 4K resolutions. In addition, the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V will also support up to three monitors and NVIDIA 3D Vision technology.

And if you want to know what kind of system you’ll need to get the most of Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar has posted the bare minimum and recommended specs. The recommended specs call for a quad-core Intel Core i5 3470 or higher processor, 8GB of RAM, and at least an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (2GB) or AMD Radeon HD7870 (2GB) graphics card. Oh, and reserve at least 65GB of HDD space to install the game.
