OCZ Technology and solid state drives just go together. Like peas in a pod, as they say. The company has been producing solid state drives for consumers as long as they've been popular (even amongst just the hardcore users), and now they're announcing a refresh to the Vertex and Colossus lines. Those two have been around for quite some time, and with this revision, they'll probably be around for even longer.

The two new drives are called the Vertex Plus and the Colosses Plus, and both of these are SATA II solutions that rely on Indilinx technology and promise to provide even greater transfer rates. Both feature higher sequential speeds along with improved 4KB random write IOPS, and the former is available in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB capacities. OCZ is waiting to give out a price and release date, but they seem to be suggesting that the price-per-gigabyte will be very competitive.
