Motorola's Sholes Android Smartphone For Verizon Leaked
In recent years, Motorola's
mobile handsets division has been slow to provide new, popular
devices. However, that might be about to change if leaked images of a new phone
called Sholes becomes reality. Sholes is based on the Android OS
and sports some beefy specs and a sleek design that is sure to appeal to serious
smartphone users.
Russian site MotoFan shows the Sholes as having a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 5 megapixel camera, and a classy design. Reportedly, the Motorola Sholes will run on Verizon's EVDO Rev A network. If rumors are true, the phone will be available in October for an unknown price. Other specifications include a 3.7-inch touchscreen with a 480-by-854-pixel resolution, 256MB of RAM, and 512MB of internal memory. For additional storage, you’ll also be able to insert a microSD/microSDHC memory card.

In terms of connectivity, the Sholes reportedly offers Wi-Fi (802.11g), Bluetooth (2.0+EDR 1), and a USB 2.0 port. This Android phone also features a 3.5mm headphone jack and GPS navigation.
Last week, we caught a glimpse of what is supposedly the Motorola Morrison, the first of two Android phones that Motorola plans to launch later this year. The Morrison disappointed many high end users however, since the phone appears to be targeted to T-Mobile’s teen texting crowd.

Let’s hope this latest leak of an Android device turns out to be something really cool that will help turn things around for the company.
