LG Carpet Bombs Mid-Range Smartphone Market With Joy, Leon, Magna, And Spirit
LG Electronics is planning to showcase a quartet of mid-range handsets at "exceptional prices" during Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona next month, the company announced. The four phones include the Magna, Spirit, Leon, and Joy, each of which will incorporate LG's "premium design elements and user experience."
All four phones share similar spec sheets, though they differ in size and slightly in physical design -- the top-end Magna and Spirit both sport a "gently curved" body that's supposed to make them fit more comfortably in the palm of any hand, while their displays are distinguished by a subtle 3,000mm radius curve for a sleek profile, LG says.
Looking at the Magna, it brings to the table a 5-inch HD display (294 ppi) powered by a 1.2GHz or 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. It also features 8GB of internal storage, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 8-megapixel rear facing camera, 2,540 mAh removable battery, 3G and 4G connectivity, and Android 5.0 Lollipop.
