Lenovo Ships $429+ ThinkPad X130e 11.6" ThinkPad

An Ultrabook? A netbook? Something in-between. Maybe this one's just a standard notebook, and that's perfectly okay. Lenovo's ThinkPad X130e is now shipping to consumers, a few weeks after being adopted by select schools. The machine packs an 11.6" display, 4GB of memory, and your choice of an AMD Fusion API or Intel's Core i CPU. It's also priced very attractively, with a starting point at $429. It's rigid and rugged, like you'd expect a ThinkPad to be, including a rubber bumper around the top corner, reinforced corners, bezels and hinges, and an Active Protection System that protects data in case of drops. The battery also lasts for up to 8 hours, and there's a 500GB HDD option. Not bad at all for $429, huh?
