iOS Favorite 'Temple Run' Races Over to Android

For those of you who haven't experienced the awesome addiction of Temple Run, it's clear you don't own an Apple device. You've been missing out on one of those rare games that's utterly simple to play but constantly has you promising yourself, "Okay, I'll give it just one more shot," which quickly turns into a dozen more tries and another half hour gone from your day. Well, Android fans, now's your chance to see what all the fuss is about.

Imangi Studios today announced that Temple Run is now available on select Android devices. It's a free download via Google Play (still feels funny not to say Android Market), and though there are in-app purchases, if you play enough times -- and you will -- you'll accumulate all the coins you need to unlock extra characters and power ups without forking over a dime.

Temple Run has amassed 45 million downloads to iPhone and iPad devices since its initial debut in August 2011 and is off to a quick start on Android. At the time of this writing, Temple Run is quickly approaching 10,000 downloads with a 4.4 average rating. To play it, you need a device running Android 2.1 or later.
