Fallout 4 Vault-Tec Workshop DLC Arrives July 26th

All good things eventually come to an end, and sadly, Bethesda's VP of marketing Pete Hines confirmed on Twitter that Nuka World will be the last expansion for Fallout 4. However, before the post-apocalyptic amusement park add-on arrives in August, Bethesda has one other piece of DLC up its sleeve, the Vault-Tec Workshop.

The Vault-Tec Workshop is scheduled to release on July 26 (two Tuesdays from now) for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Essentially a spin the popular mobile title Fallout Shelter (coming to PC tomorrow, by the way), the Vault-Tec Workshop allows you to build a massive vault of your own where you can attract new dwellers and dress up your dwellings with retro-nostalgic furniture, lighting, and art.

"And like every good overseer, run Vault-Tec approved experiments on your dwellers to learn what makes an ideal citizen," Bethesday says. "Vault-Tec has given you the tools, the rest is up to you!

It's nice to see Bethesda squeeze in an additional piece of DLC before wrapping things up with Nuka World, the most anticipated add-on and also the last. Previous add-ons include Automatron, Wasteland Workshop, Far Harbor, and Contraptions Workshop, bringing the DLC count to half a dozen. That's probably more than what most people were expecting.

Vault-Tec Workshop will cost $5 when it releases later this month. In the meantime, Bethesda's handing out closed beta keys to some lucky fans.
