Fake DFI Boards Spotted
If you’re looking to buy a motherboard from DFI then be on the lookout for signs of a fake board. Apparently an unknown company has decided to rebrand a few of their own motherboards, and even ship them in boxes that resemble authentic DFI boxes.
“Two models have been discovered so far; MCP73V and MCP68V. They are not made by DFI and will not be covered by any kind of warranty or support, and we can only recommend you to stay away from these boards.”
Currently the boards are circulating around Indonesian vendors, but they may already be on their way to other markets.
