EVGA Flaunts Pimped-Out High Bandwidth SLI HB Bridges For GeForce GTX 10 Series Cards

When NVIDIA announced the new GeForce GTX 1080 and GeForce GTX 1070 graphics cards last month, the company introduced an update to its SLI interface. Dubbed SLI HB Bridge, it offers double the bandwidth compared to the previous generation Maxwell architecture. This enables 2560x1440 gaming at 120+ Hz along with support for 4K/5K gaming and NVIDIA Surround. And as we’ve previously detailed, the SLI HB Bridge operates at 650MHz as opposed to 400MHz with previous SLI bridges.

With this in mind, EVGA has some up with its own SLI HB Bridge for gamers looking to boost performance at higher resolutions with dual graphics cards. The EVGA Pro SLI HB Bridge has been designed to work with both the GeForce GTX 1080 and GTX 1070.

The bridges are available in four spacing configurations:

  • 0 Slot Spacing (40mm)
  • 1 Slot Spacing (60mm)
  • 2 Slot Spacing (80mm)
  • 4 Slot Spacing (120mm)

So far, this isn’t exactly anything extraordinary compared to the “generic” SLI HB Bridges offered by SLI. But EVGA is taking things one step further with LED lighting for its logo that graces the bridge. It can be configured in software to light up in Red, Green, Blue or White in order to appease gamers that just can’t help but show off every single component in their gaming rigs.

All four variants of the EVGA Pro SLI HB Bridges are priced at $39.99, but only the 2 Slot and 4 Slot versions are currently available to purchase direct from EVGA.
