Corsair Introduces New Flagship Hydro Series Liquid CPU Coolers

Corsair announced the Hydro Series H100i and H80i liquid CPU coolers. These new coolers are redesigned versions of the popular H100 and H80 coolers. The new H100i and H80i models are designed to provide better cooling, quieter operation, easier installation, and Corsair Link digital control.

The Hydro Series H100i and H80i utilize new copper cold plates that are more efficient, improved manifolds, optimized fan designs, and larger diameter tubing to deliver better cooling than previous generations. The Hydro Series H100i employs a 240mm radiator while the Hydro Series H80i uses a double-thick 120mm radiator and two fans configured in a ‘push-pull’ arrangement.

To reduce noise, the new H100i and H80i use the SP120L High Performance fans. These fans are based on Corsair's static pressure optimized Air Series SP120 fans. For easier installation, the Hydro Series H100i and H80i use composite rubber tubing that's more flexible than the tubing used in previous coolers. The coolers also use a new magnetic mounting bracket.

The coolers are compatible with Corsair Link directly out of the box, letting you control fan speeds and noise levels, customize LED lighting, and create custom cooling profiles. The pump head has a Corsair Link Digital connector that lets you monitor and control other devices that are compatible with Corsair Link.

The Hydro Series H100i is compatible with most cases that have 240mm fan mounts designed to support radiators. The Hydro Series H80i is compatible with most cases with a rear 120mm fan mount. All support motherboards based on the Intel LGA115x/1366/2011 and AMD AM2/AM3/FM1/FM2 CPU sockets.

The Hydro Series H100i and H80i will be available this month for $199.99 and $99.99, respectively.
