$399 ASUS ZenFone Zoom Smartphone Arrives February 1st As B&H Photo Video Exclusive

Two weeks ago, we learned that ASUS is finally bringing its ZenFone Zoom to the U.S., one year after it was first announced. At the time, ASUS said that the smartphone would be available in February, but gave no further details.

Today, we’re learning that the ZenFone Zoom will be available exclusively from B&H Photo Video. B&H Photo Video, which was founded in 1973 in New York City, will carry the phone beginning February 1st and it will carry a price tag of $399 unlocked. You can pre-order the smartphone right now and receive free expedited shipping.

The ASUS ZenFone Zoom (ZX551ML) is spec’d as follows:

  • 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core processor with 4GB of RAM
  • 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display covered with Gorilla Glass 4
  • 64GB internal storage
  • microSDXC slot
  • 802.11ac
  • Bluetooth 4.0 + EDR
  • 13MP rear-facing camera with 3x optical zoom
  • 5MP front-facing camera
  • 3000mAh battery
  • Android 5.0 Lollipop

As its name implies, the centerpiece of the ZenFone Zoom is no doubt its 13MP rear camera, which ASUS says has “DSLR-like optical image stabilization.” You’ll also find 3x optical-zoom with a 28-84mm focal length, HOYA 10-element lens, and an aspheric, molded-glass lens system. ASUS rounds out the camera system with dual-LED Real Tone flash.

While the 64GB version of the ZenFone Zoom is definitely landing stateside within the next two weeks, we’ve heard no word from ASUS if it will bring over the more capacious 128GB version.
