1TB Xbox One With Revised Wireless Controller Arrives June 15 For $399

Your existing game console is about to be behind the times. That's because all three major console players - Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony -- have something new up their respective sleeves. Starting with Microsoft, the company is planning to release a revised Xbox One console that comes with 1TB of onboard storage and a tweaked game controller.

We learned a little about the new controller just over a week ago when Microsoft updated one of its support pages to reflect the addition of a 3.5mm audio port. Microsoft revealed that it would be available on controllers released after June 2015, but didn't offer up any other details.

Fast forward to today and we now know that the new controller will be bundled with a 1TB Xbox One that Microsoft's planning to release on June 15 for $399.99. It will also come with Halo: The Master Chief Collection, according to an Amazon listing that has been pulled offline. Before it was yanked, here's what the listing said:

There's only one place to play the best exclusives and biggest blockbusters this year, like Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Forza Motorsport 6. Experience the most advanced multiplayer on Xbox Live, powered by hundreds of thousands of servers that maximize performance while reducing lag and cheating. And quickly switch back-and-forth between games, live TV, and apps. Now includes a 1 TB hard drive for storing games and media, a controller with a 3.5 mm headset jack, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, the definitive Halo experience on Xbox One. Play through The Master Chief's entire story with Halo Combat Evolved: Anniversary, newly remastered Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4.
Sony is also planning a 1TB console, which it will likely unveil at E3. Some details were posted on the FCC's website that not only pointed to more storage, but also a slighter lighter weight design (2.5Kg versus 2.8Kg) that consumes less power (230W versus 250W).

As for Nintendo, speculation and rumors are starting to spill out about its upcoming NX console. There was a report that it might run Google's Android OS, but Nintendo quickly shot down that rumor in no uncertain terms.
