The ASUS Transformer Book T100 packs an impressive list of features into a diminutive chassis and companion keyboard dock. After working with system, it's clear that ASUS is hoping to capture lightning in a bottle, for the second time... It has been six years since ASUS launched the first Eee PC and kicked off a miniature revolution in mobile computing. Eee PC models weren't fast, they weren't particularly well-featured, and they didn't have the best displays. Even so, these lightweight boxes were the harbingers of the netbook bonanza that kicked off in earnest with the launch of Intel's Atom processor... Read more...

ASUS brought the whole kit and caboodle to IFA 2013 in Berlin this year, using the occasion to unveil a slew of mobile devices that cut across a number of markets and include plenty of different form factors. ASUS Transformer Book Trio First up is the Transformer Book Trio, a 3-in-1 ultraportable that dual boots Windows 8 and Android 4.2 and can actually function as two separate computers. With the tablet portion docked, users can work with either Windows 8 or Android laptop-style, and when the 11.6-inch tablet is removed (and being used by one party), the keyboard dock can be connected to an external... Don't look now, but IFA is about to kick off in Berlin, Germany. As has happened in past years, Asus is expected to have quite the unveiling at the show, and the famed Transformer Pad is ripe for an update. According to a new teaser posted up on the outfit's Facebook portal, a new Transformer Pad is set to be released at IFA on September 4, but little is known beyond that. It'll be black, have a medium-sized bezel, run Android, and will likely be powered by NVIDIA's Tegra 4 silicon. Beyond that, we know it'll boast Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (which isn't saying much obviously), but we'll have to wait... Read more...
As the PC and mobile markets continue to evolve and cross-pollinate, plenty of companies are massaging form factors to better suit users’ varied needs. ASUS has been working on that as much as anyone, and its latest design is an all-in-one PC called the Transformer AiO that doubles as both a decently-appointed desktop and a solid tablet. In desktop mode, the computer features an Intel Core i5-3350P processor, NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M (2GB) graphics, 8GB of DDR3-1600MHz RAM, 1TB HDD, a SuperMulti DVD drive, and a 1MP front-facing webcam. It runs Windows 8 and offers 802.11a/b/g/n dual-band WiFi,... Read more...
You better believe Asus intends to make a splash at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, like a rhino jumping off the high-dive. It starts off with a canonball unveiling of the "Asus Qube with Google TV" (just "Qube" from here on out), a square shaped device intended to add Google TV to your high definition television. The Qube is a rather intriguing device, not just because it represents another product in the second coming of Google TV, but also because it offers both motion control and voice search that integrates Google Play, Chrome, and YouTube in a single compact device. "Asus... Read more...

What might be the year's hottest Android tablet is on sale right now, after half a year of waiting. Originally introduced at CES in January, the Asus Transformer Pad TF700T (10.1") tablet is on sale at Office Depot. The official drop date for the slate here in the U.S. is July 16th, but Office Depot seems to have the jump the rest of the gang. What makes this Android slate special is the internals: there's a Tegra 3 processor, Gorilla Glass 2, Android 4.0, dual cameras (8MP/2MP), a microHDMI port, a battery that'll last 10 hours and a 1920x1200 display. That's right -- a display that outguns your... Read more...

We recently stepped you through the details of Asus' lower cost Transformer Pad 300 and felt that it was a fine alternative for users looking to save a few pesos. But let's be honest, somebody has to compete with Apple's new iPad and its ultra-high resolution Retina display. Though the Transformer Prime's Super IPS+ display certainly competes in overall brightness and contrast, pixel density of the panel at its native 1280x800 resolution couldn't compete with Apple's super-tight 2048x1536 on the iPad. Alas the innovation and refinement beat goes on with Asus thankfully, and the all new Transformer... Read more...
There are generally two types of iterative processes that manufacturers go through with respect to product development and refinement; there are feature and performance enhancements that result from market feedback and there are enhancements as a result of technology advancements and cost reduction (or both combined). When it launched in December last year, the Asus Transformer Prime was, in our opinion and many others, thought to be one of the best 10-inch Android slates on the market at the time.  That claim could still be made today, if it were not for the recent introduction... Pushing the boundaries of what is possible the ASUS Transformer Book, ASUS Transformer AiO and ASUS TAICHI have been rolled out. Let's break it all down a bit, shall we? The TAICHI is a slim,...
