While the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V was fashionably late to the release party, PC gamers have been blasted with the powerful and quite fun full video recording and editing capabilities. Console gamers have sat on the sidelines with their hands in their pockets (Rockstar Games initially said that this the editor would be a PC exclusive, before later backing down from those claims), but it looks as though the wait will soon be over. Rockstar Games this week announced that the Rockstar Editor will make its way to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles next month. In addition to making the editor... Read more...

Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto series has been wildly successful for many years now, offering some of the edgiest story lines, game play tactics and objectives the gaming industry has ever seen. With psychopathic main characters, you are left in the depraved communities of Los Santos and Blaine County, to walk a path few would dare choose in real life, committing nefarious acts, robbing and pillaging to complete your objectives. In short, it's rather entertaining that you're tasked with leaving a virtual world worse off than you found it, consequences be damned. But if you're reading this, you're... Read more...
Well, who didn’t see this one coming? Delays for highly anticipated video games are nothing new, so you shouldn’t be too surprised to hear that Rockstar Games has delayed the release of Grand Theft Auto V for the PC. The game was originally set to debut on January 27, but that date has now been pushed back until March 24. “Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be,” said Rockstar in a posting on its website earlier this morning. “Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice... You can get a jump start on the 4th of July festivities by downloading a Grand Theft Auto V title update (version 1.15) containing special content for Independence Day. This is very much a themed update with two new vehicles sporting permanent American Flag livery -- the Sovereign motorcycle and the super-sized Liberator monster truck. All that's missing is a bumper sticker declaring, "These colors don't run!" Naturally no GTA V update would be complete without new weapons, and this one brings them in a form of a high-powered Musket and a Firework Rocket Launcher. It also introduces four types... Back in March we posted an article about GTA V and said that one of these days we’d post a piece stating that the title is finally available for the PC. Well, today is that day. Rockstar posted the news that Grand Theft Auto V is indeed coming to the PC, this fall. It’s also going to be available on Microsoft’s and Sony’s next-gen Xbox One and PS4 consoles. “Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail,” reads... One of these days, we're going to post an article declaring that Grand Theft Auto V is finally available for PC. Unfortunately today is not that day. However, Rockstar Games isn't just sitting around idle -- we've seen a handful of game patches released in the last few months, and there's yet another available that adds some new items and fixes a bunch of bugs. GTAV title update 1.11 adds new clothing to the clothes store, new tattoo options, four new hairstyles (two male and two female), some new masks, green and purple tire smoke colors, new vehicles (Grotti Turismo R, Dinka Jester, Albany Alpha,... It's said the truth is sometimes stranger than fiction, and towards that end, the daughter of a mafia kingpin is accusing Rockstar Games of having used her story without her permission in Grand Theft Auto V. Her name is Karen Gravano, daughter of Salvatore Gravano (otherwise known as Sammy the Bull) and former star of the reality show Mob Wives. Gravano filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court on Monday claiming that Rockstar Games ripped off her image and real-life story to create the in-game character Antonia Bottino and the incidents surrounding her. "Notwithstanding the fact that plaintiff... Read more...
Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V has been an unmitigated success, generating $800 million in sales on its first day and clearing a cool billion in three, but it’s apparently not without its problems. Well, “problem”, singular. Multiple users have complained that after upgrading a vehicle or completing a mission and parking car in a garage in GTA V, the car will disappear entirely, or the upgrades will vanish. “We have received some reports about problems with cars and garages, particularly after upgrading and then completing a mission, and are looking into this now.... For better or worse, the Internet has made it nearly impossible to keep a secret these days. Just ask Rockstar Games, the developer of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Despite a brilliant marketing strategy consisting of frequent but limited updates on the progress of Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V), arguably the most anticipated game of 2013, spoilers have come to light, though Rockstar Games isn't the one to blame. Back in August, hackers were able to decrypt certain elements of the game after downloading digital pre-order copies from Sony in Europe. Sony may have meant well -- serve up encrypted copies... When Vine emerged in order to give digital junkies the ability to share their lives six seconds at a time, we knew some strange videos would eventually surface. But, we can't say we ever expected anyone to have so much ample time that they'd sit around recording clips of an unreleased video game, and then spewing them all over the Internet. Oddly, that's exactly what has transpired, as a gentleman that somehow came across a leaked copy of Grand Theft Auto V has drawn a huge amount of attention by sharing clips of the actual gameplay prior to the title's street date. Of course, leaks in an increasingly... Read more...
The biggest, most expansive installment of the hugely popular Grand Theft Auto series is set to debut next week on September 17th, 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game consoles. This is easily one of the most highly anticipated titles of the year and could end up being the biggest entertainment launch of 2013. One of the numbers floating around the web is $292 million, which is how much Grand Theft Auto V is estimated to have cost to build and market. In anticipation of the upcoming launch, developer Rockstar Games released a bunch of new screenshots. Since the game was announced last year,... Read more...
Consider Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto franchise a guilty pleasure, and we're willing to admit we're looking forward to the next major installment, Grand Theft Auto V. Unless something went terribly wrong in the design phase, you can expect more in-game violence and blatantly illicit jobs set in the franchise's biggest open world to date, which will task us with running around doing things that we'd never do in real life (for the most part, anyway. As if gamers weren't already looking forward to GTA V's release, Rockstar Games has begun accepting pre-orders and is tossing in extra goodies at... Read more...
