iPod Adapters, HDTV Wonder and Lots O' Memory!

Hey gang! I think a lot of us are winding down from a sports laden week, getting some much needed rest. There were some long baseball games that kept some of us up into the wee hours several times. I know I got the best night sleep of the week last night and it was really needed. To top that off, today my wife and I are going to play at the NC State Fair and relax even more. This will be my first time doing a Southern style fair, being a native NY'er. I look forward to trying some of the local food favorites like boiled peanuts, deep-fried candy bars and Barbecue. Down here, Barbecue is a food, not a grill. Should be interesting. Think I better take a Pepcid before I go.  Before I do, let's serve you up some news, shall we?

Alpine KCA-420i iPod Adapter Review @ The Tech Zone:

"The Alpine KCA-420i was announced way back in January at the 2004 Consumer Electronics Show. Alpine promised the greatest Apple iPod interface for the car ever made and that it would be available within a month or two after CES. That never happen. The KCA-420i has to be the greatest paper launch in history. It would be 10 months after CES before the KCA-420i made it to the market. However, I'm happy to report that wait has been worth it. The KCA-420i is everything Alpine had promised it would be and then some."

Crucial Ballistix and Kingston HyperX PC3200 Low-Latency Memory Review @ CoolTechZone:

"We have been discussing quite a bit about low-latency modules and the future of DDR I in our freshly published memory evaluations. According to our recently confirmed reports, DDR I is here to stay for sometime and memory manufacturers will continue to develop DDR I memory products to better fit the market segment. In this analysis, we will not start our discussion on Intel's immature platform and the future of DDR2, as we have already presented our thoughts on these subjects previously."

Crucial Ballistix 1GB (2x512) PC3200 DDR Modules @ Controlled-Insanity:

"The memory performed like a champ and I would not hesitate to recommend it to any one. There are a lot of companies at the moment trying to be the King of the low latency memory market and I think I can safely say that crucial is one of the top runners in that fight. So whether you're a high performance freak or just a casual user you can't go wrong with Crucial and its Ballistix line of high performance memory products."

ATI HDTV Wonder @ Viper Lair:

"If you don't have digital cable, and you don't want to spend close to $1,000 for Satellite equipment and a HD capable television, you can use this to get HDTV... "

Mushkin LIIV2 Dual Channel 1GB CL2 PC3200 @ GideonTech.com:

"When talking about memory, Mushkin ranks right up there with the best of them. Producing some of the highest performance modules in the past, their new LII V2 CL2 DDR line should not be any different."

That's all for now. Time to got play!
