iBuypower Joins Ultrathin Gaming Notebook Competition With 17-inch Battalion M1771

Technically, iBuypower could claim co-ownership of the “world’s thinnest 17-inch gaming notebook” with CyberPowerPC; the latter’s ZeusBook Ultimate series measure just 0.85 inches, as does the former’s new Battalion Ultra-thin M1771 series. Both are a hair thinner than Razer’s slim gaming machine.

The portable gaming rigs feature up to a quad-core Intel Core i7-4700HQ processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M (2GB) with Optimus, 16GB of DDR3-1600MHz memory, and a one-two combo of a 256GB SSD and a 1TB (7200 RPM) hard drive. The display is 17.3 inches (1920x1080) with anti-glare and a backlit keyboard.
