YouTube Celebrities Are In Demand

With YouTube.com being the most popular of the video sharing websites, it's pretty easy to become a celebrity on there, assuming you're interesting enough to warrant the viewers. Those who do reach celebrity status on YouTube are now finding themselves in hot demand from competing websites. Some have left the YouTube community to earn a share of advertising revenue from other video sharing sites, however some are staying faithful to the YouTube community, as it's rumored to be introducing a revenue sharing service in the near future.

"Mr. Tennenhaus, an aspiring comedy writer who gained a modest following on YouTube for his droll question-and-answer clips and other spots featuring his grandmother "Bubby," is being wooed by the site's competitors, including Metacafe, ManiaTV and others, with promises of guaranteed exposure, a share of advertising money, or both."
