ViewSonic's PJD2121 Is Company's Smallest DLP Projector Ever

One could say the pico projector boom is over, and now we're seeing a slow trickle of second-gen devices from companies that bothered to stick with the niche. Without a doubt, these expensive, tiny devices never really took off in the mainstream market, but ViewSonic is hoping to catch some eyes with two new ones in its increasingly small range.

First we've got the PJD2121, which goes down as the company's smallest DLP projector to date. Weighing just 2.2 lbs., this device packs a DLP engine with BrilliantColor technology, 400 lumens of brightness, an 1800:1 contrast ratio and a native SVGA (800x600) resolution. It also has a short 1:1 throw ratio and the ability to throw up images of around 60" or greater. There's also an "Off to Go" function that enables road warriors to power down instantly without fear of harming the lamp.

Next, there's the cord-free-enabling (almost, anyway) WPG-350. This wireless presentation giver brings wireless connectivity to any projector, LCD TV or display, enabling users to connect to a VGA port without a cable (aside from the AC plug). The device supports resolutions up to 1024x768 and full-motion video up to 1080p, and it utilizes 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi to send along signals. It's available now for $199, while the aforementioned pico PJ is on sale for $449.
