Anyone else buy HL2 and then become a tad angry when they found out the only multiplayer aspects of it are graphical updates of games you've already played hundreds of times before? Well apparently there is some type of multiplayer for HL2! Check this out! It's still in it's infancy, but at least we know it can be done. With some excellent user created maps, and some fine tuning, this could turn out to be one hell of a multiplayer game!
"On the left side are more useful buttons. Up top are the Forward and Back keys. Below that is a multidirectional pointer, used for scrolling and moving through documents. Unfortunately it doesn't act like a mouse, but it's still a nice addition. Below that are Cut, Paste, Copy, and Mark keys. The Mark button I don't understand; it doesn't seem to have any particular purpose and makes some applications act strange. At the very bottom are the Application (same function as Alt Tab) and Close (same function as Alt F4) keys. This arrangement is incredibly helpful if you're 1337 and use your keyboard more than your mouse."
"The latest rodent out of Gigabyte's door is the ultra-mini GM-W9C wireless optical mouse. Go truly portable with RF wireless technology and on-the-fly recharging. With cool looks and a smooth touch, the GM-W9C makes a great gift too."
"Serving the purpose to store vast arrays of data the modern world would most probably be immensely limited without it. Some may recall the early days of personal storage when hard drives looked and weighed overly compared to today's offerings, luckily things have moved on and that era of Winchester hard drives is long ago. During the past couple of years storage has taken on a new meaning by becoming versatile, cheaper, and faster. Looking at the IT industry one cannot help but notice the trend, if a device fits in your pocket then its so called "cool" factor rises."
"The original Radeon 9600 XT was released more then a year ago. When it was released the question if this card was going to be fast enough for the next generation DX9 games came to mind. Now 1 year later after the release of this card and 1 week after the release of Half-Life 2, were going to take a look at the Sapphire 9600XT if it indeed is fast enough for the next generation of games."
"We were never able to hit 2-2-2-5 timings with the older kit at DDR400, but the latest TWINX-4400C25 had no problems with those timings. We were also able to hit as high as 278FSB at 2.5-4-4-8, which is also something we weren't able to do before."
"In our original review of Intel's 925XE chipset we showed that the original 925X chipset when paired with a Prescott CPU delivered substantially higher performance in memory-intensive benchmarks than the nominally more capable 925XE chipset paired with an ExtremeEdition CPU. Despite the lack of lower multiplier settings, we took a Prescott CPU, set it to 14x for a total clock speed of 3.73 GHz, and achieved benchmark results that blew away everything we had seen so far."
"Today at GamePC, we've taken a look at a shiny new graphics card from XFX, which utilizes nVidia's GeForce 6800 GT PCI Express graphics processor. These cards, which have been delayed for quite some time, are just finally starting to show up in volumes, giving PCI Express owners another high-end video card choice besides ATI's Radeon X800 XT. We compare the new 6800 GT PCIe card to the X800 XT PCIe along with nVidia's own 6600 PCIe."
"Today we have a PCI Express graphics card shootout comparing three different ATI Radeon X600XT cards from HIS, ATI and GeCube. After taking a look at each product we run them through our usual array of benchmarks and then overclock each as far as possible and then re-run the benchmarks to work our which is fastest for modern day gaming."
"London, UK, November 21 2004 - SiSoftware has announced the availability of SiSoftware Sandra 2005, the latest version of its award-wining utility which now includes remote analysis, benchmarking and diagnostic features for PCs, servers, PDAs1, Smart Phones1, small office/home office (SOHO) networks and enterprise networks."
