TransPhone Phone + Tablet Combo Offers Android 4.0 With A Cut-Rate Price

As the months march on, we're starting to see a more varied array of form factors in the tablet universe. As companies move to differentiate themselves from the pack, we've seen firms like Asus offer up the PadFone, which essentially traps a phone inside of a tablet shell for quite the unique piece. Now, the TransPhone is emerging, and in a lot of ways, it borrows the ideas that the PadFone made famous.

The kicker here is that it costs nearly half as much as the PadFone. It's a 3G GSM unlocked product, equipped with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The phone portion boasts a 3.5" 960x540 display, along with a 1GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of onboard storage. The price? $239.99, and it's up for pre-order now.
