Steam Community’s Voice is Heard, Valve Debuts 20 New Games

Valve has been hitting on all cylinders lately, rolling out loads of updates, new features, and new titles on its Steam platform. One of the most intriguing features of Steam is Steam Greenlight, which allows the user community to help decide which games will debut on the platform.

Developers can post information about a given game, including screenshots and videos, to Steam Greenlight and attempt to solicit community support. If Steam’s users collectively insist on that title coming to Steam, the game gets a greenlight and the devs can finish developing the game with the knowledge that it has a home. Valve gets the reassurance that it will be at least moderately popular. It sounds like a win-win-win.
