Sirius XM Introduces XM Snap! Tuner

Sirius XM hasn't announced new gear for years it seems like; early on, during the sat radio boom days, it felt like a new receiver was being introduced every week or so. Now, the company is helping the next generation of listeners find an easy way to tune in. The XM Snap! is meant to be portable and easy to install in any vehicle. As long as your car has a cigarette power adapter and an FM radio, you're set.


The small Snap! tunes into Sirius XM broadcasts and then sends those signals to the car's stereo via FM. It uses an FM transmitter, and so you simply select an FM station that's open and let it send away. Other than that, details aren't too numerous, but we suppose that's the point. It's designed to be simple, after all. It will be on sale later this month for $59.99.

XM Snap! will be available at retail nationwide and www.shop.xmradio.com in October 2010 for $59.99.
