Samsung To Launch 4G LTE Smartphone On Verizon

It's pretty clear that Samsung and Verizon Wireless have a great relationship, and with the carrier's 4G LTE launch, that relationship seems to only be getting stronger. Both companies have announced at this year's CES that Samsung Mobile will feature their first LTE-enabled smartphone on VZW, but neither company seems to be willing to put a name on it. It's possible that there was a last-minute name change just before CES, and so for now they're keeping quiet about it. But either way, the phone is definitely coming, and the specifications are pretty impressive.

There's an Android 2.2 operating system, a 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus touch screen, a 1GHz application processor, 8MP rear-facing camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, built-in Swype, and of course, support for Verizon's LTE network. Again, there's no mention of a price, but it should be out by mid-year. Hopefully with a name!
