Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is U.S. Cellular’s First 4G LTE Device

Bully for U.S. Cellular; the mobile service provider announced today that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 is now available in its stores. The tablet is the first of U.S. Cellular’s 4G LTE offerings and will run you $499 (after a $100 mail-in rebate).

If you’re in one of U.S. Cellular’s 4G markets and are thinking of grabbing yourself one of these tablets, do it now--for a limited time, you get can the Galaxy Tab 10.1 for $399 (yes, after a $100 mail-in rebate).

Of course, the tablet is available in all of U.S. Cellular’s markets--it’ll just run on a 3G network where 4G isn’t available--but those lucky folks in select cities in Iowa, Maine, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin will get to take advantage of that 4G speed.

4G is coming to cities in Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New Hampshire, Oregon, Vermont, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia by the end of the year, though, at which time 54% of U.S. Cellular customers will have access to 4G LTE.

A 200MB data plan will be $14.99 per month, and 5GB will cost $54.99.

The Samsung Galaxy S Aviator will be the first 4G LTE smartphone available on the U.S. Cellular network, available starting next month.
