STEAM Hacked, Again - Maybe?
There is some debate as to whether or not hacker MaddoxX actually managed to hack Valve's STEAM, but DailyTech is reporting the following:
According to a posting made on an anti-STEAM website, MaddoxX has
bypassed Valve's security system and accessed a significant chunk of
data, including:
• Screenshots of internal Valve web pages
• A portion of Valve's Cafe directory
• Error logs
• Credit card information of customers
• Financial information on Valve

Valve's director of marketing, Doug Lombardi, denies that STEAM itself
was hacked, and that the target was solely its Cyber Café billing
system. Either way, we suggest watching your bank statements closely
if STEAM or its Cyber Café billing system has your financial
information on file. If there are any unusual purchases (What, you
didn't buy that Monster Truck?) this could be the source. If you have
any information that might assist Valve in catching this hacker, please
