Rosewill Reaches into Mechanical Keyboard Market with Four Cherry MX Models

Silent keyboards go "click click click," regular keyboards go "Click Click Click," and mechanical keyboards go "HEY EVERYONE LOOK AT ME, I'M A MECHANICAL KEYBOARD!" Some of us here at HotHardware really like the obnoxious clicks that a mechanical keyboard produces, and with Rosewill announcing four mechanical models of its own, perhaps the competition will drive pricing down.

Rosewill, which is Newegg's house brand, actually produced a mechanical plank once before. It appears the RK-9000 model is making a comeback decked out with blue switches, along with three other models, including one with Cherry MX Brown switches (RK-9000BR), Cherry MX Black switches (RK-9000BL), and Cherry MX Red switches (RK-9000RE). All four switch types will be offered in the same keyboard enclosure, you see pictued below.


There aren't a whole lot of details to go on, such as how much these new planks will cost, when they'll be made available, and what separates them from Rosewill's original model. However, Rosewill did say they'll ship with both gold plated USB and PS/2 connectors.
